The RSPCA Assured farming and technical engagement team is here to help if you have any questions about the RSPCA’s welfare standards. Our experienced technical experts offer advice and practical support, whether you’re seeking assistance with current or future standards. They have a wealth of experience and are ready to give guidance when you need it – no question is too small.

Book an introductory chat

We’re delighted you're interested in learning more about RSPCA Assured membership!

Let us know a few details here, and we’ll be in touch with all the information you need.

Complete your application

It’s time to complete the application form and pay your membership fee! We’ll be on hand to support you and answer any questions.

We’ll explain everything that'll happen before, during, and after your first assessment.

Prepare for your assessment

This is when an RSPCA Assured assessor visits you and checks that you’re meeting the RSPCA welfare standards (or chain of custody requirements).

Assessments typically take around two and a half hours and are carried out within 12 weeks of us receiving payment for your application.

Before they set foot on your site, your RSPCA Assured assessor (a scheme employee) will carry out biosecurity measures to protect your animals from disease.

Our experts are on hand to answer any questions you might have – or help solve any standards-related problems. This can be either in person, via video call or on the phone.

Once you’ve joined RSPCA Assured, you’ll receive an assessment annually – and assessors may also make unannounced visits to check everything is ok and if you need any extra support
